As of April 25th 2008 we are now "Chocolate River Association" poets & writers community.
Chocolate River Association - poets & writers community & the Chocolate River Festival (CRA) was established in 2005 by poet Donna Allard. Festivals are held in the Greater Moncton region -- along the Fundy coastline and Shediac Bay area. CRA has hosted several Canadian Poetry Association AGM's & Festivals with featured poets from Israel, Maine and across Canada.

Angelo's Spaghetti
I am here for donuts, but today Angelo is pushing spaghetti.
He is ill with the waitress, the appliance man, the wife,
and mostly himself, for cooking too much spaghetti,
so that now he is cooing it like a common hawker,
words falling from his mouth like a forgotten language,
his rage held behind the windshield of his deep eyes.
His father is coming for lunch, passing through a city
of window seats, his long face ready with judgment.

The Boat That Ran Away
Afterwards, he said, he meant to pull in there.
He had planned to tie up and stay,
but the day the boat got away, he swore & slammed
his cooler against the pier, and he said that
I had chosen a bad port & how stupid it was
to pull up anywhere on a good river,
that had a free flow, just because of flowers.

Dear Mother, I am living in a mansion.
My servants fight for the right to serve me.
Each day I celebrate life with a bit of tequila.
I light my cigarette with the dollar bills
I keep near my chair. It is an easy chair.
I have one identical to it in my jet.
